Ephesians 1:18
May he enlighten the eyes of your mind
so that you can see what hope
his call holds for you.
God encourages us to keep our eyes focused on Jesus. When He’s our everything, and has the ability to speak into our lives, He’ll help us to see things through a clearer lens.
To enlighten means:
- Instruct or inform. To give spiritual insight. To impart wisdom.
Life is wild, unpredictable, and even hormonal. Well, at least mine can be. No matter how crazy it is, I’ve found that the more I’m in step with Jesus, the more I allow Him to instruct me on the path I should take, and not stress, yes, I said “not stress” about how I’m getting there.
Everything in me desires to hear the whispers of my Lord, who imparts His wisdom to me.
Jesus never missed hearing the voice of His Father. He heard every utterance. The lens of Jesus’ heart was completely focused on the Father, and His life reflected all that God is.
I strive to model after Him. Yes, I’m setting my goals high. I may never obtain perfection, but I’m growing into the woman He wants me to be.
In searching for our life’s call, the goal should be, to make Jesus the object of our life, and set the lens of our heart, mind, and soul, on Him. It’s amazing how it all seems to come together when we do.
Jesus wants us to enjoy our life, so get out there, learn how, and live well.
